Creating Alias For Quick And Direct Access

One of the important feature while using terminal command is using alias for direct access to a binary or a folder. For example creating a alias to reach your home directory.

Then each time you write,


But defined alias remains until logout. To set them permanently; you must set in your hidden profile file. OS X looks for ~/.bash_profile,  ~/.bash_login and finally ~/.profile, and loads the first one.

Edit .bash_profile with nano (or whatever)

Add these lines

Reload the changes

Now and then you can use new aliases.
